Casting Call For Stylists With Huge Hearts That Are Looking to Give Back to Their Community This Holiday Season
Orange, CA (PRWEB) November 22, 2016 -- There has been a forty-five percent increase in homelessness in Costa Mesa over the past two years according to a recent survey conducted by the Daily Pilot. City officials have attributed the rise in homelessness to a rise in housing costs and a decrease in availability of low cost motel rooms. Unfortunately, many in our local homeless community are children and families with young children. The city has experienced an influx of transients from other cities as well which has added to the chronically homeless population in the area.
Trellis and LOTS are looking for incredibly talented stylists with huge hearts and a willingness to give back to the community, who would like to volunteer their time to cut hair for the homeless in the month of December. The holidays are just around the corner and everyone deserves a little compassion and kindness during this time. Lizzies Lice Pickers will be there volunteering their time to rid the families of Head Lice before the stylists provides their services.
LOTS is an organization that helps homeless men, women, and families with children get back on their feet after suffering from chronic homelessness. Every Saturday they offer breakfast, a hot shower, laundry services, and a way off the streets permanently by helping with physical needs like job placement and housing. LOTS offers services to improve self esteem, value, and self worth to work on bringing back the natural self confidence that everyone of us needs to succeed in life.
If you would like to invest your talent and skills by helping create value and self worth in others, that are down on their luck, please go to http://bit.ly/2fGkVV0 to learn more and sign up.
