Hernon Manufacturing, Inc., worldwide innovator in adhesives, sealants, dispensing equipment and curing equipment, announced today their congratulations to Edgardo Rodriguez, their Director of Sales and Marketing for his recent inauguration as President of the Manufacturers Association of Central Florida (MACF). The MACF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to elevating the image of Central Florida's manufacturing sector and being a tangible resource to local manufacturers. The inauguration took place November 9 initiating the two year presidential term and breaking a new diversity barrier with the first Hispanic President in the MACF's 25 year history. MACF Executive Director, Sherry Reeves, stated "the staff looks forward to Edgardo’s leadership, manufacturing experience and to working closely with our new president over the next two years."
Born in Puerto Rico, Edgardo Rodriguez joined the Navy in 1979 and later attended the University of Utah under a Navy scholarship. Graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Physics in 1989, Edgardo has since worked at multiple companies within the manufacturing industry including: Cytec Industries, Sterling Chemical and Laser Photonics. Most recently, Edgardo has been with Hernon Manufacturing for seven years, serving as their Director of Sales and Marketing for the last five years while simultaneously a member of the MACF Board of Directors since 2012. Under his leadership, Hernon's sales reach has expanded to new international markets and the company averaged double digit sales growth.
