Mobility device recognized as best design at world’s largest medical device trade show

iWALKFree, a manufacturer located in Long Beach, California, exhibited their innovative hands free crutch at Medica trade show in Dusseldorf, Germany. MEDICA is the world stage for innovative new medical technology.

The i-NOVO award recognizes products exhibited at the show which provide innovative solutions to an emerging need, demonstrate exceptional attention to ergonomics, integrate current design trends, and are visually unique. Products are nominated by the i-NOVO committee of experts, and included products from prestigious companies including Sony, DJO Global and Stryker. Voting is done by show attendees. IWALK2.0 was chosen as the winner of this prestigious, globally recognized award.

In comparison to the competition, the iWALK2.0 is a relatively simple, inexpensive device, which makes winning the award even more impressive. The medical community recognized the need for a solution to the limitations of crutches.

“We’re honored that the medical community voted us as the best in the world,” said Brad Hunter, President of iWALKFree.

Added Hunter, “As a new technology, we did not expect such immediate acceptance in the global market, and this validates that the technology presents an improvement over the status quo.”

The IWALK2.0 solves this problem in a simple, intuitive way. Instead of recruiting your arms, the IWALK crutch recruits your leg, so walking is simple, intuitive and hands free.
