Preora Diagnostics Inc., a privately held medical technology company developing low-cost and highly accurate cancer screening tests, received Corporate LiveWire’s 2016 award for “Best in Cancer Diagnostics” in the Americas.

According to the United Kingdom-based Corporate LiveWire, the 2016 awards “celebrate the most innovative and successful projects carried out around the world over the past 12 months.” In addition to diagnostics, eligible sectors included health administration, insurance providers, pharmaceuticals and healthcare providers.

In its news release highlighting the guide that announces this year’s winners, Jake Powers, awards director of the 2016 Healthcare and Life Science Awards, said, “Each winner in this guide has played a big part in biology, medicine, and life sciences.
