Entigral releases CarTrax® to the cloud for vehicle inventory tracking to solve growing retail automotive sales problem
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) December 01, 2016 -- Entigral Systems, Inc. announces the availability of CarTrax Inventory, a cloud-based extension to its CarTrax product line to help automotive dealers improve and expedite the car buying process. CarTrax uses RFID to identify, locate and track vehicle inventory at the dealership, to recognize customer’s vehicles in the Service Drive, and to track vehicle progress through service, detailing and car-wash.
Since launching two years ago, the CarTrax team has surveyed car dealers and car buyers, and it is clear that Internet shoppers expect a level of service that many dealers are not equipped to deliver. CarTrax gives sales teams up-to-date, accurate location of each vehicle, allowing sales associates to search for and locate any vehicle in inventory directly from their smartphones. Now, dealers can complete sales faster and eliminate sales lost because of impatient buyers/shoppers.
According to survey results, more than half of car buyers do all their research online and only visit an average of two dealerships to touch, see, and buy a specific vehicle. Yet, when buyers arrive at the dealership, quite often, the sales staff cannot find the specific vehicle the buyer came to see. The sales person and customer are frustrated, the relationship is compromised and the sale is lost. Disturbingly, as many as 1 in 5 potential buyers report walking out of a dealership because the sales team was unable to find the vehicle that was supposed to be on the lot. How does this happen?
Throughout the day, vehicles move for all sorts of reasons: test-drives, maintenance, detailing, or storage in remote lots. Aside from occasional physical inventory counts, most dealers have no way to keep track of where each vehicle ends up. 38% of dealerships rely on pen and paper for inventory and only 8% of dealers take inventory daily. Typically, inventory information is not accessible to customers or sales staff and is often inaccurate and out-of-date. This poses a huge obstacle to sales and a costly and time consuming challenge for an inventory audit team. Mark Self, CEO of Entigral Systems notes, “Many dealers have experienced these problems first-hand. The larger the inventory the more likely this problem occurs.
Half of all surveyed dealers shared that customers have difficulty finding specific vehicles on their lots, and more than a quarter of them admit that sales are lost as a result of delays in locating vehicles. CarTrax directly addresses these challenges and can substantially improve the business of the 18,000 plus new and used automotive dealers across the US.”
CarTrax uses low-cost RFID tags placed on each vehicle to make inventory verification faster, simpler and more accurate. CarTrax Inventory is a cloud-based solution that provides instant access to inventory location anytime, anywhere. Inventory audits can be performed in minutes, versus hours or days, allowing for accurate inventory counts multiple times a day. The solution includes apps for Android and iPhone so sales teams can instantly locate any vehicle, keeping shoppers from walking out and ensuring they close the deal, fast.
