Leading sustainable home goods brand Bambeco, Inc. announced today the appointment of Sol Garay to its senior executive team. Sol Garay will serve as the company’s Chief Merchandising Officer and brings more than twenty years of expertise to her new role. She will oversee development and execution of Bambeco’s merchandising strategies, which play a pivotal part in reaching organizational goals and continuing the company’s rapid growth momentum.

"She is an accomplished merchandising executive with significant experience in the home decor market and will be key in positioning Bambeco in the marketplace."

Prior to joining Bambeco, Sol Garay served as VP DMM of Williams-Sonoma Home, leading merchandising for both the direct-to-consumer and the retail channels. Before that, she held leadership roles at Pottery Barn, Gap and Procter & Gamble. Having traveled extensively across the world for her work, Sol Garay aims to bring a global perspective to the company along with her passion for finding beautiful, unique products that tell a story. She holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley.

Bambeco Co-Founder and CEO, Susan Aplin, recently announced the brand’s latest sustainable initiative at Climate Week NYC – achieving carbon neutrality by 2020. This will make Bambeco the first ever net-neutral home goods company. Sol Garay will play a key role in supporting the execution of carbon reduction initiatives through merchandising efforts that help contribute to this goal.
