Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley has rebranded and expanded its website SearcyLatino.com to better serve the Latino community. The website’s rebranding is part of its efforts to actively reach out to the Latino community to help in the representation of injured victims.
“When I came on board with the firm, it had really not actively tried to connect with the Latino community”, says partner Mariano Garcia. “The firm felt that it could not connect in a meaningful way with our Latino community without having a solid Latino employee base who also speaks Spanish.”
The South Florida area has developed into a substantial Latino community. Some Latinos are fully Spanish speaking people; some have been in this country for a long time and communicate in a mix of Spanish and English; and some Latinos prefer English to Spanish. Searcy Denney wanted to provide a site where Spanish speakers would feel at home and be able to educate themselves about personal injury matters and their rights. SearcyLatino.com is a 100% Spanish language site and acts as a companion to Searcy Denney’s English language website, SearcyLaw.com.
“Very few law firms provide the Latino community with a fully Spanish language site and we wanted to provide that to Latinos who prefer communicating in Spanish. We believe we have done that with SearcyLatino.com,” Mariano Garcia observed.
The firm’s commitment to Spanish language services is reflected by the rapid growth of the firm’s number of Spanish speaking employees, which has increased to 26 of the total 139 employees.
“We are proud of my partner Mariano Garcia and our Latino employees, who have allowed us to engage with our Latino community in a meaningful way,” said the firm’s CEO, Christian D. Searcy.
