Scalix, the award-winning Linux email, group calendaring, and messaging company, today announced the release of the Scalix 12.6 alternative to Microsoft Exchange and IBM Notes, extending full support for IBM Power & IBM Mainframes, including LinuxONE. The new release offers its customers freedom of choice among current server and browser technologies.

The new release provides global email, calendaring, and messaging for companies large and small. Key enhancements in Scalix 12.6 include:

  • Support for high reliability IBM Power & IBM Mainframe hardware.
  • Secure support for up to one million users on affordable LinuxONE mainframes.
  • Full support for Outlook 2016, the latest MS Outlook release.
  • Major hosting enhancements, including support for hosting tenants in multi-server environments.
  • Support for recent Linux server releases, including RHEL 7.2, CentOS 7.2, SLES 12 sp1, Debian 7.8, and Ubuntu 14.
  • Support for the latest Edge, Safari, Chrome and Firefox browsers.
  • Enhanced web access and search performance through support for recent releases of Tomcat and PostgreSQL.
