Groundbreaking International Journal Combining Fine Art Photography and Poetry Launches Inaugural Issue
Smithtown, NY (PRWEB) December 05, 2016 -- Jennifer Drucker, a fine art photographer and marketing communications professional had a vision of bringing together her passion for photography and poetry and Light was born. "It was time," notes Jennifer. "Time to curate amazing photography combined with poetic verse. I am excited to begin this journey and share it with all of the photographers and poets who will become part of it."
The inaugural issue themed ‘Human’ contains the work of 60 international poets and photographers. Available in both ebook and print, the online version includes select poets reading their poems for complete sensory immersion. “We have received so much positive feedback of this feature,” notes Jennifer. “There is something very personal about hearing the author reading their poem. It instantly builds a more ‘human’ connection to the work bringing the words to life.”
Light’s poetry editor, Manny Blacksher adds, “Light is interested in not only writing and photographs that send us to faraway places with devastating speed, but work that shoves us out of our routines, that makes us look longer and hold a page more steadily, so we can arrive where the artist designs to take us.”
