Omelet (http://www.omeletla.com) announced today that it has been named Agency of Record – heading up development on all marketing, messaging, and advertising – for the launch and opening of the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace™, the latest extension of renowned philanthropist Wallis Annenberg’s philanthropic work.
The unique new community center, at its core, will provide the public with an opportunity for pet adoptions with robust training and education and the Space will also offer interactive educational programming and projects centered around the science and origins of the dynamic human-animal bond. Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is also committed to playing a role in leading a national conversation around public policy relating to domestic animals.
Wallis Annenberg PetSpace will open in June of 2017 in Playa Vista’s “Silicon Beach” neighborhood, next to power players including Google, YouTube, Yahoo, and IMAX. The Space will feature an interactive area for on-site pet adoptions – with adoptable pets provided in partnership with the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control – training classes, an education center, and a leadership institute. State of the art technology will also be built into key areas, in order to facilitate education around animal behavior and various breeds. On top of that, the center will aim to promote broader public policy conversations relating to animals.
“We’re really going to be doing something unique with the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace and are excited not only to help rescued animals find forever homes but also for the opportunity to help the community understand the actual science between the bond they already feel with their pets. When it came to finding our creative partner, Omelet really had the vision to match the extraordinary future we see for this Space,” said Carol Laumen, General Manager of the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace. “We’re very excited to have them as our partners for this momentous launch.”
Wallis Annenberg PetSpace represents the latest extension of Wallis Annenberg’s philanthropic work, which has long supported organizations and projects dedicated to improving the well-being of people and communities in L.A., surrounding regions, and throughout the world.
“Animals are an inherent part of Omelet’s DNA. From our pet-friendly office to our employee dog beds, they have and always will be a huge part of our lives. So when we got the chance to not only work with a pet-centric initiative that’s completely different than anything that’s ever been done before but also partner with a world-renowned family foundation, we were ecstatic,” said Don Kurz, Omelet’s Chairman and CEO. “We’re truly honored to be working with the Annenberg Foundation on the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace and for the great work that this partnership will bring to Los Angeles and beyond.”
