Bringing together 150 top Travel Consultants and 12 leading holiday suppliers, Not Just Travel’s 2016 conference offered new skills, new product announcements, and networking opportunities to help franchisees grow.

At a two-day conference held at Cranage Hall near Crewe, leading travel company Not Just Travel announced details of its growth and celebrated success alongside 150 Travel Consultants and The Travel Franchise franchisees. The company was also joined by suppliers including Sandals, Travel2, Funway Holidays and Club Med.

With growth of the company at over 100% and some suppliers seeing sales growth of as much as 500%, the event was an opportunity to recognise a successful 12 months and announce new plans for 2017.

“We’re in an industry where 10% growth would be cause for celebration and we’re growing at a much faster rate,” says Steve Witt, Managing Director at Not Just Travel. “That’s partly the result of giving customers low prices and the widest choice, but also due to the way we nurture and support our franchisees – and their hard work. The conference is a way to continue developing Travel Consultant’s skills while acknowledging everything we’ve achieved so far.”

The past 12 months have seen the launch of several new initiatives to support franchisees including a new desktop booking system, highly personalised email marketing, and updated Travel Consultant websites. Meanwhile, plans for 2017 include the ability for Travel Consultants to advance their commission – a first for the industry.

The 2016 conference opened with a keynote from Becki Houlston, one of the UK’s leading life and personal development coaches, who spoke about six habits that hold people back from success. Beyond this inspiring and motivational talk, the conference also included an evening party where over £1400 was raised for charity and an awards ceremony to recognise Travel Consultant success – including one franchisee who has made over £2 million of sales in just three years with The Travel Franchise.
