Dallas-based SaaS startup, Modern Message, announced on Facebook Live its new branding and program design for its resident loyalty platform, Community Rewards, coming in 2017.
The updates come as part of a strategy for the Community Rewards’ brand to position itself beyond a marketing platform and move toward assisting and improving operational goals at apartments, while rewarding resident experiences.
“The past three years have taught us a lot about how to make Community Rewards more fun and compelling to get residents to engage online with their apartment community,” said Modern Message, CEO, John Hinckley. “We’ve taken everything we've learned and implemented it into the new redesign and user experience. We believe Community Rewards can assist in creating a truly rewarding experience by incorporating all aspects of a resident’s life cycle at their property.”
The app will now include everyday resident tasks such as paying rent, maintenance requests, surveys, event responses, resident communication alerts and much more. All which will cause residents to keep returning to the app and in turn create more content for apartments using the program.
A “Community Tab” and “Event Tab” will also come out in 2017 allowing property managers to inform residents about property events or send relevant onsite notifications. A digital feed will also be rolled out giving residents the chance to ask any questions that might have about their property. On top of all of that, a “Local Deals” tab will be added allowing properties that partner with local businesses to add their deals on the app.
Other new additions will include gamification elements such as more opportunities for residents to level up, receive bonus points and badges, which will help increase a resident's motivation to obtain the gift card they’ve set their sight on in the game.
These new gamification elements also were the cause of Community Reward’s rebrand and new logo.
“We redesigned Community Rewards to give a fresh look and feel that would resonate with our audience and product. We wanted something that would speak ‘gaming’ and loyalty which is why you now see the box cube ‘CR’ symbol, our new tagline ‘stay.play.’ and the addition of green in our color palette,” said Hinckley. “It’s our objective to make Community Rewards a global brand that everyone recognizes as we look to expand beyond North America.”
The evolved brand and redesigned Community Rewards game will officially begin rolling out in January 2017 and new updates will be made throughout next year.
