DaVinci Designer Donated to German Students at CIP4 Workflow Symposium
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) December 09, 2016 -- Over 150 print industry professionals and media technology students were introduced to DaVinci Designer, a subsidiary of Opensoft Inc. that offers a remote press check for graphic arts professionals and print resellers, during the 8th CIP4 Workflow Symposium on JDF, Industry 4.0 and Workflow Automation, held Nov. 17 at Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart, Germany.
The symposium served as a hub for “Industry 4.0” automation technologies to address workflow challenges in the print industry. Software development group Opensoft Inc. presented live demonstrations of several software solutions, including DaVinci Designer.
“We were just as excited as the students about the donation of DaVinci Designer to Hochschule der Medien,” shared Brett Heap, CEO, Opensoft Inc. “Their genuine interest in the tool is indicative of the future role of technology in the print industry.”
The interactive web-to-print solution enables the creation and 360-degree visualization of print products and package designs. Its intuitive 3D proofer generates a realistic product preview of enhanced finishes, such as texture, foil and spot UV, in addition to animating the folding and unfolding of package designs.
Heap discussed the future role of print technology solutions, such as DaVinci Designer, during his “Job Routing and Product Designing/Visualizing” presentation at the annual event. He also donated an enterprise version of the online design tool valued at $100,000 to Hochschule der Medien, a print and media university, for student use.
Heap looks forward to presenting at the next symposium, planned for November 2017.
