Leading cloud-based commercial property management and operations software platform provider, Building Engines, selected to power 68 million square feet for The RMR Group.

"It delights us that The RMR Group, nationally recognized for their comprehensive management and operating approach, selected the Building Engines platform to help them achieve their desired performance standards and better serve their clients."

The RMR Group, a national alternative asset management company, recently selected to adopt Building Engines as the sole property management software platform for 620 properties.

Headquartered in Newton, MA, and founded in 1986, The RMR Group specializes in investing in and managing real estate related businesses. As manager of four real estate investment trusts, or REITs, The RMR Group is responsible for implementing investment strategies and managing day-to-day operations, as well as providing the personnel and services necessary for each REIT to conduct business, including managing property operations.

As a growing company, RMR looked to technology and the Building Engines web and mobile platform as the right solution to help them optimize and scale property management operations. By automating the majority of daily operational tasks, collecting real-time service delivery, tenant feedback and team performance data through the application, RMR expects to achieve new levels of operational efficiency and previously unavailable insights.

“We needed a system that would have a robust suite of modules to fit all of the operational aspects for managing our properties to the highest standards in the industry,” commented Jason Mayo, Manager of National Engineering Systems for The RMR Group. “The platform had to be easy to use, and we had to be able to view the most relevant data and reports at-a-glance. Building Engines was that platform.”

“From the start of the project to go-live and beyond, Building Engines has worked with us as if we were a single team. It speaks volumes about their client service approach to engaging with clients,” commented Michael Parks, Director of PMO and Application Development, The RMR Group.

”It delights us that The RMR Group, nationally recognized for their comprehensive management and operating approach, selected the Building Engines platform to help them achieve their desired performance standards and better serve their clients,” said Scott Sidman, Senior Vice President for Building Engines.

Building Engines also recently announced a significant growth capital investment. "We’re very excited that this investment will help us deliver even greater value to clients like The RMR Group,” said Sidman.
