The Cliffs, a collection of seven private luxury mountain and lake communities in the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Carolinas, today announces that a Greenville-based developer, in partnership with Fairview Builders, has purchased 18 acres of mixed-use land to be developed as The Village at Mountain Park. Located near the intersection of Highway 25 and Highway 11 adjacent to The Cliffs at Mountain Park, the complex will include a mix of residential, commercial, retail, medical and office space to complement the community as well as serve the greater public of suburban northern Greenville county, Travelers Rest and surrounding neighborhoods.
The property was previously owned by a private individual for the past four years. As part of the deal, the new ownership group is working with The Cliffs to build 10 luxury waterfront patio homes with panoramic golf course views. Additional developer plans include an independent living and assisted living facility; a bed and breakfast with associated hillside bungalows; and a Market Square with mixed-use commercial and retail facilities.

The new development will complement the complex’s existing businesses including The Dental Retreat, Medical Group of the Carolinas - Family Medicine, Davis Audiology, Gabriel Builders, The Cliffs Information Center and the new Cliffs at Mountain Park Wellness Center (opening January 2017). New signage, landscaping and gates will also be installed. The Village at Mountain Park will be open to the public during daylight hours and closed to non-residents during evenings and overnight.
