Investor Oni Chukwa to join Exago Board of Directors.

“My partnership with Exago will build on the impressive achievements the team has already made as it continues its global market expansion.”

Exago today announced an investment from veteran entrepreneurial software executive, Oni Chukwu, made through his investment vehicle, Frontiers Acquisitions, LLC. The funding will accelerate Exago’s growth and significantly boost its share of the business intelligence software market. In conjunction with the investment, Oni has joined the Exago Board of Directors, bringing deep expertise in growing global technology companies. He will work in partnership with the company’s current leadership team to bring Exago to its next phase of growth.

“We’re excited to benefit both from the resources Oni brings and his expertise,” said Mike Brody, founder and CEO of Exago. “His investment will help us achieve even more rapid growth than we are already experiencing, and his experience in cultivating enterprise software companies like Exago will help us build on our success.”

Brody and partner Stew Meyers, Exago EVP and Chief Architect, co-founded Exago in 2006 to provide seamlessly integrated, ad hoc reporting that’s self-service for non-technical business users. Today, Exago with its expanding base of global customers and partners, has become a leader in embedded BI with a 100% web-based solution that includes both ad hoc/operational reporting and interactive dashboards.

“Until now, we’ve avoided accepting outside capital because we want to build the best possible product we can without the additional pressure of answering to investors, said Meyers, “but Oni’s approach to partnership made the decision easy. He understands and appreciates our core values. With his investment, we can continue to keep our primary focus on strengthening the Exago BI application and providing unparalleled service to our customers, and also increase our investments in sales, marketing and new hires.”

Oni has more than 20 years of experience in growing global technology companies and working closely with enterprise business users around the world in providing them the software, technology tools and services they need to achieve their growth goals. He has an exceptional record of leading customer growth, results-driven financial performance, and operational execution for market-dominant global enterprise software and ecommerce companies. Oni also has proven skills in recruiting and nurturing global talent to deliver best-in-class software and services for customers.

“There is tremendous growth in store for Exago. This is a great opportunity for all involved and I look forward to helping the company reach its full potential.” said Oni Chukwu. “My partnership with Exago will build on the impressive achievements the team has already made as it continues its global market expansion.”

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
