Mediaplanet today announces distribution of its first cross-platform edition of “Women in STEM,” aiming to celebrate the growth of diversity in these fields while also looking at the many issues women in this industry still face.

The print component of “Women in STEM” is distributed within the San Francisco Chronicle with a circulation of approximately 173,000 and an estimated readership of 500,000. The digital component is distributed nationally, through a vast social media strategy, and across a network of top news sites and partner outlets. To explore the digital version of the campaign, go to Mediaplanet’s Education and Career website.

Actress and advocate Taraji P. Henson graces the cover of the print publication. Inside, Henson shares her experience playing NASA mastermind Katherine Johnson in the upcoming film, Hidden Figures. Henson’s role will educate millions on the untold stories of three African American women who were hired as “computers” for Apollo 11 and other famous missions to space.

This campaign was made possible with the support of Million Women Mentors, STEM Connector, NASA, Little Bits, Loni Love, Taraji P. Henson, 21st Century FOX, PMMI, California Baptist University, Society of Women Engineers, Women in Technology Institute, American Association of University Women, Broadcom Foundation, Amgen Foundation, Change the Equation, INROADS, the Consumer Technology Association, and more!
