HelloSign, the easiest way to electronically sign legally binding documents, announces language support in Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Swedish, Dutch, and Danish in addition to English. The multiple language support applies to the signature page for HelloSign Embedded API customers when eSigning with HelloSign and ensures that signers fluent in any of the eight languages will be guided through the eSigning experience in their native language. This additional language support is available now for API customers and represents HelloSign’s ongoing commitment to provide the most intuitive global eSigning experience available to customers in over 150 countries.
HelloSign’s global language support comes shortly after announcing compliance with the Electronic ID and Trust Services (eIDAS) regulation, which provides consistent legal framework for the acceptance of electronic signatures across all countries in the European Union for the first time in history. This ensures that all eSignatures made through HelloSign pass various legal requirements surrounding electronic signatures in countries across the globe.
With the added language support, API customers can ensure that recipients who speak multiple languages are able to read the signature page in their preferred language. All text that guides the signer through the document in order to place a eSignature will be translated in the language specified by the requester, including the notifications that the document is legally binding once signed. This ensures that eSigning with HelloSign is as intuitive as possible around the globe. The ability to translate the signer experience into multiple languages not only makes it possible for the requester to provide the best possible user experience for the signer, but it also decreases potential inaccuracies on the signers behalf when filling out the document.
“Document signing and agreement execution are fundamental to businesses all over the globe, not just here in the United States, so we realize the importance of making sure that our users all over the world can take advantage of the benefits of eSigning with HelloSign,” said Neal O’Mara, CTO and co-founder of HelloSign. “The additional language availability not only benefits the signers who speak the languages, but also the users who send the documents for signature. HelloSign users with customers who speak any of the added languages can now offer a more intuitive signing experience.”
The ability to render the signer experience in Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Swedish, Dutch, Danish or English is available for Embedded API requests. To access multiple language functionality, the requester simply defines the language desired for the signer page in the API call and the signer experience will render in the specified language for the signer on any device.
The HelloSign API is the easiest way for developers to build secure, legally binding eSignatures into applications and is free to test during development. On average, customers integrate the HelloSign API in less than 2.5 days, with 88% of customers completing the integration in less than one work week. Providing maximum flexibility, companies can either use their interface by embedding documents on their own website or have users complete documents in the HelloSign web app. The platform can be expanded to include the HelloFax API for companies needing the ability to send and receive faxes online without the need for a fax machine.
