New Sustainable Lifestyle Store Opens in La Jolla

SeaMakers & Co., a sustainable lifestyle and gift store, has opened at Village Corner, Suite J, 7660 Fay Avenue, La Jolla. The store carries fashion and home décor accessories, all of which are sustainably made in the U.S., with most items also made from reclaimed materials.

SeaMakers' owner Marc Beltrante says: “We’re thrilled to be in La Jolla and to open our store here. We’ve been very warmly welcomed by the local community and we’re excited be a part of the wider business community. All the brands we carry are made in the U.S. and resoundingly kind to the earth and to animals, which is important to us.

Examples of the brands found at SeaMakers & Co. include Sea Bags, a Maine-based designer and of maker of home and fashion accessories from recycled sails; Traps Eyewear, makers of premium sunglasses using repurposed oak from lobster traps; Seawicks, makers of candles from 100 percent soy wax; Lemon & Line, handcrafters of nautically inspired bracelets and accessories; and Felix Doolittle, Elüm, and Smock, each makers of occasion cards printed on recycled paper, using letterpress and soy inks.
