During this holiday season, when giving is top of mind, Massachusetts-based manufacturer Charles River Apparel, is leading the way in helping the local community. The company announced today it is donating 2,900 jackets to Christmas In The City, a Boston-area organization that helps homeless kids and their families.
”We are so appreciative of this generous donation which will provide warmth to nearly 3,000 adults and children this winter,” said Jake Kennedy, founder of Christmas In The City. “In the five years since we’ve gotten to know Charles River Apparel, they have truly modeled what care in our local community should represent.”

Charles River Apparel has a long history of supporting charitable organizations with product donations, financial contributions, food, clothing and toy collections, and employee volunteering. Since its founding in 1983, hundreds of thousands of outerwear items have been donated to charities.
Over the years Charles River Apparel has been recognized for its philanthropic programs and was most recently named Humanitarian of the Year by the New England Promotional Products Association (NEPPA).
