IT Glue™ has announced the launch of a new product feature that will solve one of the biggest challenges faced by managed services providers (MSPs). GlueConnect™ helps MSPs to offer continuous service to their clients by enabling current IT Glue partners to grant other IT Glue Certified Providers or other accounts access to their IT Glue data.

If an MSP uses a third-party enterprise to provide around-the-clock network operations center (NOC) service, GlueConnect will allow the MSP to grant that third party access to client data in IT Glue. For example, a trio of MSPs in the UK, the US and Australia can cover each others’ clients as effectively as their own in order to provide comprehensive follow-the-sun service desk support. An MSP can also use this feature to outsource for skills they do not have in house, or to increase efficiency.

To ensure control over critical data, MSPs will have the ability to set limits on third parties, determining whether they will be able to edit, create, delete or only read entries. If an MSP does not use a third-party provider, GlueConnect makes that option much more viable than in the past.

“We see GlueConnect as a game-changer for MSPs because of the way it affects service delivery,” explained Phill Claxton, IT Glue COO. “For MSPs today it is imperative that they are able to service their clients when their clients need the service. GlueConnect really enables MSPs to have a lot more flexibility in how they want to meet their clients’ needs.”

IT Glue has also announced the first two certified providers for GlueConnect: Canada-based Global Mentoring Solutions (GMS) and UK-based Inbay.

“The ability to have direct access to data is important for partners like us – particularly when we provide 24/7 coverage, as we can have rapid access to the client information we need at all times,” said Kristian Wright, Managing Director at Inbay.
