PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, the nation’s 26th largest accounting and advisory firm, announced today its new paid parental leave policy. As of Jan. 1, 2017, employees will be eligible for up to four weeks of paid leave in the 12 months following the birth of a child, adopting or fostering a child or becoming a child’s legal guardian.

“The well-being of our employees is a critical part of our culture and is paramount to our firm,” said Kevin Keane, Managing Partner. “We are at our best when our employees can achieve their professional goals and find fulfillment in their personal lives. The firm’s new paid leave policy demonstrates the high value we place on creating the kind of environment where our people can truly succeed in both. By striking that balance, our team is able to drive greater value for our clients.”

Under the new policy, employees eligible for full- and part-time benefits can request parental leave of up to 20 paid days during the 12 months following the event. The time can be taken as a block or in increments throughout the year.

“At PKF O’Connor Davies, you find professionals who are not only experts in their chosen fields but impactful members of their communities,” said Dawn Perri, Chief Human Resources Officer. “This new policy offers employees the flexibility to take time to be with their families when it’s most valuable to them.
