U.S. Security Associates Gives Back with a Toys for Tots Drive
U.S. Security Associates (USA) announces its participation in the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots drive to ensure a happy and toy-filled Christmas morning for thousands of children in the Atlanta area. This year marks the seventh consecutive year the security company has teamed up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves’ charity to support the local community’s needy children. The employees at USA rallied and came together to provide a generous outpouring of toys, books and games that exceeded past years’ donations.
USA’s collection was so large that additional support was necessary to deliver the donated toys to the Toys for Tots service center. David Kahn, Chief Human Resources Officer at USA, commented on the generous outpouring that this year’s corporate drive amassed, “Our company has strong philanthropic roots and a spirit of giving that runs deep among all our Associates. Charitable outreach is not limited to our corporate office, nor the holiday season. Our branch offices across the United States participate in toy drives, food banks and volunteer at community events throughout the year. I am very proud of our team’s collective generosity this holiday season that will bring happiness to children in our local community.”
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserves’ Toys for Tots drive is just one way the security company both gives back to the community and supports our armed forces. USA is a tenured and proud supporter of numerous military programs and charities while attracting military talent to join their esteemed ranks. In November, the company was named to Victory Media’s Military Friendly® Employer designation for the 5th year in a row. From targeting military talent through their Recruiting America’s Brave program, to frequent recognition for their Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and their military friendly philanthropic efforts like participating as Guardians on Honor Flights and charitable donations to the Navy SEAL foundation, which provides support for the families of active duty SEALS and veterans, the company strives to offer frequent and multifaceted support to communities, charitable programs and in particular, the armed forces’ heroes, both veterans and active military.
ABOUT TOYS FOR TOTS
Toys for Tots is a national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that has helped provide happiness and hope to disadvantaged children at Christmas for 65 years. From October to December every year, members of the Marine Forces Reserve, the Marine Corps League of veterans, and local community organizations collect toys, books and other gifts for less fortunate children in more than 700 communities across all 50 states. Donated items are distributed to the children most in need with the help of local welfare agencies, churches and other community groups. Last year the Marine Corps fulfilled the holiday hopes and dreams of 7.2 million less fortunate children. Since 1947, over 209 million children have been assisted.
