Paragon Software Group Selected by MyGnar to Bring Non-Native Storage Expandability to Innovative GNARBOX Video Editing Device
Irvine, Calif. and Santa Monica, Calif. (PRWEB) January 03, 2017 -- Paragon Software Group Corp. today announced that MyGnar, Inc. has signed a licensing agreement to embed Paragon’s Universal File System Driver (UFSD) technology in the company’s GNARBOX 128 GB storage device. Three Paragon UFSD solutions, including its NTFS for Linux, HFS+ for Linux and FAT32 for Linux offerings, will be used to extend the GNARBOX device’s storage and connectivity capabilities to benefit MyGnar customers worldwide.
GNARBOX is a rugged pocket-sized device that simplifies video editing, organizing, backup and sharing capabilities for users on the go, no matter where they are—without the need for a laptop. First launched in 2015 via a Kickstarter campaign, GNARBOX connects wirelessly to any mobile phone via a wifi hotspot and can be used with DSLR cameras, GoPros and drones to secure important footage, with the capability to accept up to 128 GB of full resolution content. Users simply open an app on their mobile device to begin the import and editing process. Using the app, they can add color correction, cropping and slow-motion effects and create professional-grade highlight reels.
Through Paragon’s technology, MyGnar users gain rapid, transparent and full read/write access to non-native file systems by attaching their NTFS (Windows), HFS+ (Mac) and FAT-formatted devices to their GNARBOX device. The embedded Paragon drivers feature powerful utilities that maintain file system integrity and fully protect stored data, while delivering high performance for smooth playback and recording of Full HD video content including 4K video.
According to Tim Feess, CEO and Co-founder of MyGnar, Inc., Paragon’s UFSD technology offers GNARBOX users valuable new options for their devices. “Paragon’s UFSD technology makes it possible for our customers to take advantage of enhanced storage and connectivity options along with seamless cross-platform interoperability. This agreement opens new doors for MyGnar and our growing user base, and the synergy with Paragon, along with their support, has been exceptional.”
“From their highly successful Kickstarter campaign to the way they have changed the dynamics of video editing on the go, MyGnar is an innovative and exciting new player in the mobile storage and video editing markets,” said Tom Fedro, President, Paragon Software Group Corp. “All of us at Paragon are very excited to bring new capabilities to GNARBOX and play a strategic role in MyGnar’s very promising future.”
