Max Coppin, Partner Manager from Google, David Hansell, Global Aviation Policy Lead from Facebook Inc., and Spencer Wang, VP of Finance & Investor Relations from Netflix, Inc. will all present on alternative industry perspectives on innovative uses of internet protocol and connectivity.
The Global Connected Aircraft Summit provides airlines, operators, integrators, and technology vendors complete connected solutions – from ground to air and from nose to tail. The fourth annual event connects business, technology, and industry perspectives and goes beyond just in-flight entertainment, to include operations, communications and technologies that impact the aircraft.
This year’s summit will be held at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View June 7-9, 2017 in Arlington, VA.
Keynote Speakers:
Max Coppin, Partner Manager, Google
Max began his career as a software engineering graduate, specializing in mobility. Always being engaged on mobility,
travel has never been far away and this has increasingly become a focus area. Max is now working with a number of travel partners enabling Google integration throughout the full passenger journey.
David Hansell, Global Aviation Policy Lead, Facebook Inc.
David Hansell is the Global Aviation Policy Lead for Facebook. In this role, David is working to harmonize the global regulatory environment for High-Altitude, Long Endurance UAS while partnering with civil aviation authorities and air navigation service providers worldwide to address the near-term needs of Facebook’s aviation efforts and the global aviation infrastructure writ large. Prior to coming to Facebook, Dave served as Director for Transportation Security Policy on the National Security Council where he advanced policies across a broad spectrum of aviation issues for the White House. He worked as the lead aviation subject matter expert for the National Security Advisor and Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism. Dave previously served as an Intelligence Officer and National Security Liaison for both the FAA and TSA, an Air Traffic Controller in both tower and radar for the US Air Force and a number of federal contract facilities, and was an aircrew member and linguist for Air Force Special Operations Command, flying mostly on MC-130H/P and AC-130H/U and successfully completing over 50 combat missions in Afghanistan.
Spencer Wang, Vice President, Finance & Investor Relations, Netflix, Inc.
Mr. Wang is Vice President, Finance & Investor Relations at Netflix, Inc., where he has two roles. As part of the Finance team, Spencer leads Netflix’s relationship with equity and debt investors and assists in capital structure optimization and capital raising. In his business development function, Mr. Wang spearheads Netflix’s inflight and other out-of-home initiatives such as the recent partnerships with Virgin America and Aeromexico, which allows members to stream the entire Netflix service at 35,000 feet in the sky for no added cost.
Previously, Mr. Wang worked on Wall Street for 16 years, where he was an award winning equity research analyst specializing in the Internet & Media sectors. During his career he worked at numerous bulge bracket investment banks including Citigroup, JPMorgan, Bear Stearns, and, most recently, Credit Suisse, where he was Managing Director and Head of US Media & Internet Equity Research.
