Cerebral Assessment Systems Announces US Launch of the World’s 1st FDA Cleared Automated Cognition Assessment Solution
Pittsford, NY (PRWEB) July 12, 2016 -- Cerebral Assessment Systems (CAS) announces the US commercial launch of Cognivue®, the world’s first FDA-cleared, computer-based solution for primary care physicians to routinely measure and monitor brain health and detect early signs of impairment.
“Cognivue is a breakthrough in addressing the global epidemic of late-life cognitive decline (LLCD)” stated Dr. Charles Duffy, inventor of Cognivue and Founder and CEO of CAS. “It represents a quantum leap over decades-old question and answer testing and 1st generation computerized adaptations, enabling a rapid and objective solution to inexpensively assess brain health.”
To successfully address the large US market, CAS has partnered with National MedSales Associates, comprising independent sales teams located throughout the US, and that currently engage in business with very large medical distributors. One of MedSales largest national distributors has recently agreed to distribute Cognivue.
“We look for practice-changing products like Cognivue that will enable better patient care and outcomes and help reduce costs”, says Ben Winton, VP and Managing Partner at MedSales. “For example where cognitive impairment can be identified early in the course of decline, the treatment of reversible causes can return a patient to improved function leading to better outcomes and lower costs.” “We are excited to bring this life-changing technology to our customers.”
CAS has also signed two additional agreements with national organizations to provide the best and most timely service and support possible to its customers.
TechTrans will provide nationwide shipping and installation logistics for Cognivue. TechTrans has more than 20 years of experience in medical device logistics, serving leading medical equipment manufacturers worldwide. Additionally, Maxim Staffing Solutions, a division of Maxim Healthcare Services, with over 250 offices nationwide, will provide trained medical personnel for the timely in-service and training of all Cognivue customers.
“We are delighted to be working with these world-class organizations” says Steven Otis, Vice President of Sales at Cerebral Assessment Systems. “By collaborating with MedSales and our distribution partners, we are able to address the needs of the underserved cognitive health market place.”
