Vector Marketing Names Andrew Smallwood Campus Recruiting Manager for Vector West Territory
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) February 17, 2016 -- Vector Marketing, the sales and marketing arm of Cutco Cutlery, has named Nashville resident Andrew Smallwood campus recruiting manager for its Vector West territory. Vector Marketing is the largest recruiter of undergraduate students in the United States, contracting with tens of thousands of sales representatives each year to sell the world’s finest Cutco cutlery. Vector West covers the western half of the U.S. and includes Alaska, Hawaii and Guam.
College students are responsible for millions of dollars worth of Cutco sales annually. Smallwood will work with local Vector managers to provide student work opportunities with great earning potential. In his role as campus recruiting manager, he will also serve as a corporate liaison to the student organizations Vector Marketing sponsors, such as DECA and Pi Sigma Epsilon.
"We are excited to have Andrew as part of the campus recruiting team at Vector," said Helen Brown, Vector’s academic outreach manager. “He has a strong work ethic and generous spirit. These will serve him well as he works with managers to build relationships with community schools and business partners.”
Smallwood started as a Cutco sales representative in 2007 while attending George Washington University. As a student, he was a two-time company All American Scholarship winner. Smallwood held a number of sales positions with Vector before becoming district manager for the greater Louisville, Kentucky area in 2012. During his career, he has personally sold more than $200,000 of Cutco products, with organizational sales topping $1.5 million. He is also chairman of the board of directors for the New Jersey-based nonprofit organization Front Row Foundation, which provides front-row event tickets to people with serious illnesses.
Smallwood says that he is thrilled to help Vector managers offer students the same kind of invaluable skills and experiences he gained in college as a Cutco sales representative.
“I'm determined to help our managers build optimized relationships with the schools in their communities,” said Smallwood. “We want as many students as possible to engage in the transformative opportunities Vector provides.”
