Embraer Jet Operators Partner with APS Upset Training
Mesa, Arizona (PRWEB) May 12, 2016 -- Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) announced today that it has partnered with the Embraer Jet Operators Association (EJOA) to provide industry-leading Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) to its members. APS will be on-display and speaking at PHENOMENAL 2016 in Santa Fe, NM, an EJOA owner/operator conference combined with the Embraer Executive Jets Executive Operators Conference. On auction is a $14,000 3-day jet upset training program at APS in Arizona with multiple UPRT flights to include a culminating high-altitude, high-mach, training session with APS in the A4 Skyhawk supported by Discovery Air Defence.
Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I) is defined as flight that occurs outside of the normal flight envelope with an inability of the pilot to control the aircraft. In a presentation delivered to the NBAA Safety Committee in January 2016 by the NTSB, LOC-I was identified as the primary category of accident in every segment of aviation including personal, instructional, business and corporate flying sectors. As the NTSB’s top aviation safety concern in its 2016 Most Wanted List, LOC-I accounts for more than 40% of all fatalities in general aviation. According to the FAA’s website, a fatal LOC-I accident occurs every four days in the United States. APS’s global network of dedicated flight schools specialize in effectively delivered UPRT which mitigates the LOC-I threat to air safety through pilot education and practical skill development.
