Peter Miles narrates thrilling adventure story set in imaginary planet of ‘Nandroth’
(PRWEB) January 25, 2016 -- ADELAIDE, Australia – What started out as a bedtime story 60 years ago has turned into author Peter Miles’ thrilling novel. “Nandroth” (published by Xlibris AU) is Miles’ imaginative tale that examines the potential threat posed by artificial intelligence.
Space travelling robots (the Mekkans) have invaded the planet Nandroth and have begun to dominate its intelligent life forms, the Androthi, who have at best a mediaeval technology. A computer engineer on earth named Axel is working on a prototype matter transmitter that malfunctions, projecting his consciousness across space and into the mind of a young Androthi, Lexar, at the moment the latter is struck down by a lethal thorn projected by the botanical equivalent of a sting ray. Axel of earth has become Lexar of Nandroth, and uses his scientific and mechanical knowledge to help the Androthi in their fight against the Mekkans.
A gripping narrative of intergalactic action, “Nandroth” brims with romance, thrill and witty science fiction that will keep readers absorbed to the very last page. His clever plot of an explosive spatial story enables Miles to highlight the use of imagination, ingenuity and compassion to overcome conflicts.
