Allegient LLC named to the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Best Place to Work List for sixth year
Indianapolis, Indiana (PRWEB) February 18, 2016 -- Indianapolis-based Allegient LLC, a business information technology consulting firm focused on translating business challenges into technology solutions, has been named to the Indiana Chamber of Commerce's 2016 list of the best places to work. This marks the sixth time Allegient has received this honor.
Allegient President and CEO Gregg Gallant said “This honor couldn’t have been achieved without the combined leadership of our management team, which I believe truly makes Allegient one of the best places to work. Attracting and retaining top talent has always been a primary goal, and we’ve worked diligently to create a culture focused on achieving this goal each and every day.” As a multi-year recipient of the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies award, Allegient hired 40 new employees in 2015 and intends to hire nearly 30 new employees in 2016.
A total of 100 companies have been designated a 2016 "Best Places to Work in Indiana." The selections were determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys.
"Our focus continues to be on developing a culture centered on both professional development and personal growth,” said Allegient Director of Human Resources Margaret Mitchell. "It may sound simple, but we want our employees to love their jobs. We’re dedicated to providing the atmosphere, opportunities, and resources to make that happen."
Winners were selected from four categories: small companies of between 15 and 74 U.S. employees; medium companies of between 75 and 249 U.S. employees; large companies of between 250 and 999 U.S. employees; and major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 15 full-time employees are in Indiana. Allegient was recognized in the medium company category. The rankings for the companies will be unveiled at a May 5 awards dinner.
“The companies selected represent some of our most outstanding Hoosier employers. They embrace the idea that a positive work culture that includes respect, communication, opportunity and being part of a team not only makes it a place in which employees want to work but also fuels the success of the company,” remarked Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar. “We had our highest number of applicants to date this time – 200 in total,” he said. “It’s becoming more competitive, and we are glad to see that. Going forward, we will continue to push for Hoosier businesses throughout the state to apply to be considered.”
All companies participating in the 2016 Best Places to Work program receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees. In turn, this report can be used in developing or enhancing employee retention and recruitment programs.
