Diary of a Minecraft Zombie by Herobrine Publishing is proud to accept a nomination for the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for “Favorite Book”. Nickelodeon’s 29th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, hosted by Blake Shelton, will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2016 and will air live at 8PM (EDT) on Nickelodeon.
"It brings me great joy that our books are inspiring even the most hesitant readers to fall in love with reading. When I hear parents say that their child, who hates reading, has read the entire series and is eagerly looking for more books to read, it just makes my day,” says Creator and Publisher, William Peña.
“I'm encouraged that a lot of kids are finding emotional support through reading our books. I guess kids can relate to 12-year-old "Zack Zombie" and his preteen struggles, and when he overcomes his challenges, it empowers them to believe they can too. I think most of us parents would agree that having emotionally strong kids is a good thing,” continues Peña.
Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice is the only award show that gives kids the power to honor their favorites and winners are determined during a nationwide voting campaign.
“It's an honor to be nominated to the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, and I hope that through it more kids can be introduced to Zack Zombie and his Minecraft friends. Hopefully, it will inspire more kids to fall in love with reading, and find emotional support through a silly Minecraft Zombie and his crazy adventures," Peña concludes.
Voting starts on Nick.com today. Fans can vote by going to nick.com/KCA, or via hashtag on Twitter.
