He is a member, arbitrator and mediator of and for the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, the International Institute for Conflict Preservation and Resolution, and the American Arbitration Association. He is a Past President and a former member of the Board of Commissioners of the State Bar of Michigan. He currently serves on the State Bar of Michigan’s 21st Century Practice Task Force. In 2015, he received the Roberts P. Hudson Award, the State Bar of Michigan’s highest honor. Mr. Pappas received his B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
