National Traffic Service Sees Increase in Demand for Parcel and Truck Carrier Pricing Analysis

Before switching carriers, more businesses are turning to freight auditing experts for assessments that use their company’s shipping data to analyze carrier proposals. This is likely linked in part to growing e-commerce sales, which rose 4.5% from the first quarter of 2016 to 8.1% of total retail sales in the second quarter, according to the U.S. Census Bureau of the Department of Commerce.

Besides the sheer number of variables, definitions of these charges are not always the same between carriers like FedEx and UPS.”
