This was an exciting and important victory for both PeytonBolin and our clients at the Mediterranean Condominium Association.
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) February 11, 2016
PeytonBolin, a leading real estate law firm based in Florida, today celebrated its noteworthy recent success in effectively abating over $300,000 in fines charged to its clients at Mediterranean Condominium Association, Inc. down to $800.
At a Code Enforcement Hearing before the Special Magistrate of the Town of Surfside, Florida, the attorneys at PeytonBolin successfully argued that the Town of Surfside had failed to properly place the clients on a timely notice of the reported violations and then took no action to bring the case forward until after the fines had grown to unreasonable amounts. The firm’s lawyers proved that once the Mediterranean Condominium Association and its individual unit owners were placed on notice of the alleged violations, they immediately resolved the town’s concerns, and also that the issues at hand posed no actual harm to the human health, safety or welfare of the community.
“This was an exciting and important victory for both PeytonBolin and our clients at the Mediterranean Condominium Association,” said Melissa O’Connor, Esq. Of Counsel at PeytonBolin. “We were able to dramatically lessen the exorbitant fines placed upon the client down to a reasonable amount, given the lack of notification and the innocuous nature of the violations. I am honored to have served on this successful case, which provides a true testament to the valuable services and client dedication of PeytonBolin.”
