Highland Ventures, Ltd. Launches 2016 Round It Up for Lymphoma Campaign to Benefit Cancer Research
Glenview, IL (PRWEB) March 08, 2016 -- For four years, Highland Ventures, Ltd, through its family of brands, has raised over $4.6 million to support the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) and the Lymphoma Biobank at the University of Chicago Medicine's Comprehensive Cancer Center.
From March 11-27, customers are asked to round up their transactions to the nearest dollar. 100% of donations collected help fund vital lymphoma research. Advancements in cancer research and treatment have been made possible by the efforts of dedicated customers and employees of Family Video, Marco’s Pizza, Stay Fit 24 & Digital Doc. Since the inception of the Round It Up campaign in 2011, 14 new lymphoma treatment drugs and 63 research grants have been approved, according to LRF.
“Lymphoma is a disease that has touched the lives of many of our employees and their loved ones. Continued support of this biobank and the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s mission, will improve understanding of why lymphoma develops, and how different environmental factors impact prognosis and treatment, and will provide educational services to those affected by this disease. Ultimately, the lymphoma biobank and LRF will help us make significant progress towards finding a cure,” said Keith Hoogland, Highland Ventures Ltd. President. “Customers have shown their generosity about this cause in the past, and Highland Ventures is excited to be able to play a role in the fight against lymphoma once again.”
Stories of hope from customers and employees impacted by lymphoma continue to drive the campaign forward year after year. Grassroots events and activities at each location build support for the campaign in the communities they serve. To participate, donate online at familyvideo.com/rounditup or visit any participating Family Video, Marco’s Pizza, Stay Fit 24 or Digital Doc locations.
