The Academy of Responsible Tattooing Kicks Off the Second Season of Its Podcast Series
Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) February 11, 2016 -- In January of 2016, the Academy of Responsible Tattooing released the schedule for its podcast, "The Tattoo Trainer Podcast," which is hosted by the Academy of Responsible Tattooing's co-founder, Guy Prandstatter. Listeners can now tune in to the program, which is available free on iTunes and on the Academy of Responsible Tattooing's website, every Tuesday and Thursday.
The podcast was created to educate, entertain, and help tattoo artists accomplish their dreams and further their careers.
"The podcast is an insider's look at personal stories of successful tattoo artists who are mostly the academy's own graduates. The show features their struggles, their successes, and how the academy has helped and continues to help them live out their dreams of becoming a successful tattoo artist," said Christina Seeber, marketing manager of the Academy of Responsible Tattooing.
For the podcast's second year of production, the Academy is aiming to produce at least 30 episodes for the 2016 season.
Guy Prandstatter, co-founder of the Academy of Responsible Tattooing and podcast host, has been in the tattoo industry for 25 years. He began in 1986, apprenticing for three years. Afterwards, Prandstatter traveled across the country and the world, accruing both inspiration and experience.
In 2001, Prandstatter returned to New Jersey to open his first tattoo shop. Just three years later, he opened his second location. Prandstatter's work made him realize that he wanted to be involved with the legislation surrounding tattooing and tattoo artists. From there, he challenged a 96-year-old legislative ban on tattooing and tattoo shops, ultimately getting the practice legalized in Jersey City.
His deep knowledge of virtually every facet in the industry drove him to create the Academy of Responsible Tattooing. He also uses the podcasts as a platform to educate and inspire aspiring tattoo artists across the nation and world, who -- just like himself -- started with a passion and went from there.
