Texas Trial Lawyers Ranelle Meroney and Amy Welborn Join Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young's Austin Office

Meroney and Welborn together bring more than 54 years of experience as litigators and trial lawyers defending corporations, premises owners and individuals, primarily in the areas of premises liability, construction, employment, and business disputes. Their arrival brings the firm’s total number of Texas-lawyers to 31.

Meroney focuses on defending personal injury, property damage, employment, construction and defamation cases, with a special emphasis on premises liability matters. As a trial lawyer for more than 35 years, she has tried over 100 first-chair jury trials. She is also board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Additionally, Meroney serves as an adjunct professor for the Trial Advocacy Program at the University of Texas School of Law.
Welborn is an accomplished trial lawyer with over sixteen years of experience representing corporations and individuals in litigation involving business disputes, property damage, construction, employment, professional liability, subrogation, and personal injury defense. Additionally, Amy represents doctors and other professionals in administrative licensing hearings at their respective state or federal administrative agencies.
