Two well-respected names in flexographic equipment have agreed to collaborate in bringing the latest technology in doctor blade ink chambers to printers in the US market. Charlotte, NC-based ARC International and Technoflex, Inc. of Hiram, GA will join forces as sales agents representing Packaging Plast systems, the premium mono-blade and totally enclosed dual-blade chambers engineered and manufactured in Casale Monferrato in Northern Italy.
“We are excited to be working closely with Neil Livesey of Technoflex, Inc. to promote these superior blade units,” said ARC President and CEO Micheal Foran. “The Packaging Plast blade system with a multi-layer carbon fiber construction has been proven to optimize print quality and deliver considerable reduction in ink waste. It is impervious to flexo chemicals and corrosion and will not bend, twist or delaminate.”
ARC’s technical specialist, Chris Pugh, will be providing system inspections and consultation to customers. Pugh has more than 30 years of doctor blade chamber experience.
“This system helps to fulfill ARC International’s goal of being a full-service provider of the best solutions for flexo printing,” Foran continued. “The Package Plast chamber is 300 percent more rigid and 70 percent lighter than aluminum chambers. Coupled with its many other advantages, it will provide our customers with the kind of efficiency and quality assurance that helps them to stay competitive.”
