IMI’s Pneumatic Line Housing (PLH) Magnetic Separator Now Standard with 52 MgOe Rare Earth Material
Boyne City, MI (PRWEB) March 17, 2016 -- Industrial Magnetics, Inc.’s magnetic separator for powder and bulk processors, the Pneumatic Line Housing (PLH), now comes standard with 52 MgOe grade Rare Earth magnet material.
In upgrading the housing’s material from 50 MgOe to 52 MgOe, the PLH now averages 16.5 lbs. of pull in a standard magnetic pull test, representing an almost 20% increase in strength over the previous model. The advantages of increased magnetic strength include higher magnetic reach-out and increased holding capacity of metal contaminants.
The PLH features a series of 1” diameter 52 MgOe Rare Earth tubes on staggered centers which ensure that all product has repeated contact with the magnets. The resulting capture rate of ferrous and weakly magnetic stainless contaminants far exceeds any other product available industry-wide.
Ideal for dilute phase pneumatic systems, typical applications include processing of dry, powder and granular materials. It can be used ahead of processing equipment and bulk load-out stations to ensure product purity as it protects machinery from tramp metal damage.
