Iowa Family Support Credential from the State of Iowa is Awarded to Webster County Public Health’s Family Foundations Program
Fort Dodge, IA (PRWEB) March 08, 2016 -- The Family Foundations program delivers in-home visits to families with young children to provide support and education. In the counties of Calhoun, Pocahontas and Webster, Linking Families and Communities affords the necessary funding for these services. The agencies of Calhoun County Public Health, Pocahontas Home Care Aide Agency and Webster County Public Health deliver these services in their respective counties. Calhoun County Public Health and Pocahontas Home Care Aide Agency earned the Iowa Family Support Credential in 2010 and 2011 and are currently in the process of re-credentialing. Webster County Public Health joins these agencies with their recent award.

The Iowa Family Support Credential is valid for five years. The program standards are based on the most up to date, evidence based practice in the family support field. Adherence to the standards indicates that the program is providing high quality services that will result in positive outcomes for young children and their families.

With the attainment of the Iowa Family Support Credential by Webster County Public Health, 100% of the parent education and family support programs supported by Linking Families and Communities have earned the credential.

Linking Families and Communities also funds a group based parent education program that has earned the Iowa Family Support Credentials called Positive Solutions for Families, which is provided by Children and Families of Iowa.
