Kendra Kalis always thought she would become an Interior Decorator, but when her hairdresser recommended she pursue a career in cosmetology, she decided to follow her suggestion. “I went to cosmetology school, fell in love with it and have never looked back!” she said.
Currently a Hairstylist at Cheveux Salon in Asheville and a Bridal Hair and Makeup Artist for Blush, Ms. Kalis moved to Asheville to chase her dreams. With the support from her coworkers at Old Edwards Inn and Spa, she left the five-star resort after nearly four years. Ms. Kalis takes tremendous pride in her work. Specializing in bridal hair and makeup, she knows that creating a memorable look for her clients on their special day is her utmost responsibility. She credits her training with Ted Gibson and Stephanie Brinkerhoff with helping her gain the skills she needs to be successful in her chosen career.

Committed to providing top-quality services to her clients and taking her career as far as she can, Ms. Kalis continually pursues professional development, staying up-to-date on the latest styles and techniques by attending industry seminars. Interested in expanding her talents to include assisting at photo shoots, fashion shows, and film, she is also studying photography. “I want to be known for my passionate work. I want my work in magazines. I believe in myself and the beauty of my dreams!” said Ms. Kalis.
