Edwin McCain Headlines the 2017 East Coast Golf Management Salt Air Jam To Benefit Cystic Fibrosis
North Myrtle Beach, SC (PRWEB) March 01, 2017 -- Edwin McCain will headline the 2017 East Coast Golf Management (ECGM) Salt Air Jam Friday May 19th at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex Amphitheater. In it's third year, the ECGM Salt Air Jam to benefit Cystic Fibrosis has become a two day event with a concert on Friday and Golf Tournament on Saturday. East Coast Golf Management signed on as the title sponsor with a three year commitment to the event.
Gates will open at 1 PM on Friday May 19th with Mister Fifties band opening up the show with a Hank Williams Sr tribute. Jim Quick & Coastline will follow Mister Fifties with their popular and original southern (swamp) soul. The Tim Clark Band follows Jim Quick with a mix of R&B and Rock N Roll. Edwin McCain will close the show with a full band concert performance including his chart-topping singles "I'll Be" and "I Could Not Ask For More". Matty Russo and his daughter Sicily will be back this year performing their acoustic duo special performance between band sets. DJ Eddie C from Philly will emcee the event.
Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.
In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients. The organizers for Salt Air Jam learned about the challenges faced by families caring for a child with CF when founder, Jeff Gilder's grandson was diagnosed with CF at birth. "The care, medication, and treatment for families with a CF patient can be financially devastating." says Gilder. "There are State programs available for patients that have been hospitalized with the disease, but recipient families can be declined if they make too much money to qualify for assistance. Normal, annual costs for care, medications, treatment, and exams can easily exceed $100,000. Even fewer options exist for healthier patients, while their expense can be just as devastating to the family. We want to do everything possible to raise awareness and gather donations for CF."
Called the great American romantic by the New York Times, Edwin McCain has built an enviable career over the past 20 years by balancing his massive pop success with the year-round touring schedule of a tireless troubadour. His hit songs, authentic spirit and surprisingly affable sense of humor keep fans coming back time and time again for nights that feel more like parties with old friends than rock concerts. After recording two of the biggest love songs in the history of pop music, McCain now performs upwards of 100 shows annually throughout the US as a solo artist, with his full band or his acoustic trio. Recently, he’s added orchestras to his repertoire, performing with symphonies in select markets where he brings his powerful songs to majestic new heights.
East Coast Golf Management is based in Myrtle Beach, SC and represents a group of 25 golf courses in the area.
