Kat Meezan of Focal Instincts, LLC in Corona, California has earned the master of photography degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree was presented to Meezan by PPA president Lori Craft, Cr.Photog., at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, held January 8-10, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas.

The master of photography degree is not merely a piece of paper. It means that Meezan has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. She has been awarded this degree in recognition of Her superior photographic competence demonstrated through photographic competition, advanced education and service to the profession.

Meezan’s degrees—and all the expertise they require—illustrate her accomplishments and talent as one of a select few.

Additionally Meezan received the Digital Artistry Photographer of the Year for 2016 from the Inland Empire Professional Photographers and Videographers (IEPPV) at the Annual Awards Banquet held on December 17, 2016 in Corona, California. This was Meezan's third consecutive year to win the Digital Artistry Photographer of the Year with IEPPV. IEPPV is the largest affiliate in California for the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). In addition, Meezan was awarded the people's choice award for her image entitled "Fire Ball" at this event.

Focal Instincts (Meezan) had been in business since 2008 and specializes in fine art portraits, digital artistry, high school senior portraits and weddings.
