Camping RV Park in Cheyenne, Wyoming, which prompted me to use the Bighorn National Park in northern Wyoming as my setting for RIPPED TO SHREDS. Aspiring author, Janet Wright--one of my closest friends--and I were setting up my motion-activated game camera one day when she suggested I write a murder mystery involving a “critter cam” like my own. The two of us planned a murder that day, which is not something most people freely admit to. Considering ways to eliminate characters doesn’t seem quite so creepy when you have a “partner-in-crime” offering ideas on creative, and sometimes bizarre, ways to kill them. Even though Janet and I are close, some of Janet’s suggestions made me hesitant to turn my back to her."
