Variety Club Telethon is Making a Difference in Children's Lives
(PRWEB) February 06, 2017 -- The 51st Annual Show of hearts or also known as the Variety Club Telethon is now a one day jam packed event. It is going to be held at the Hard Rock Theater at 2080 United Boulevard, Coquitlam, BC on Sunday February 12th 2017.
As individuals, groups, families, corporations, small businesses, organizations and communities stand together for betterment and quality care, collectively they come together to support Variety Club. Variety Club is an organization that provides direct help to families with kids who have special needs in communities all across BC.
It is through the touching and heart inspiring stories that the event shines its light and reflects on the purpose of Variety and with the greater intention of inspiring donors it evolves. It is through their generous contributions that it directly impacts and helps children with special needs in British Columbia and Yukon to be able to fulfill their potential and live meaningful and empowering lives as kids with the necessary tools and resources for their varying needs.
Variety is a show of collective and collaborative hearts, one that empowers families and every child to strengthen their abilities to live a meaningful, happy and fulfilling life because every person has potential and leaves an impact and an imprint in the life of humanity.
International speaker and author Inthirani Arul will be attending and volunteering her time at the Variety Club Telethon that is so dear to her heart.
“It is my passion and a privilege to serve towards the empowerment of children with special needs and their families because every child has their own unique abilities and needs that require special attention, creativity and sometimes it requires a network and the support of a larger community to provide the resources, equipment and time for the much needed quality care.”
Also in attendance are Canadian Country music award winners Dan Mangan, Dallas Smith and Washboard Union who will be performing live as well as other live performances including Angela Kelman.
Since 2010 Variety has distributed more than $25 million in funding to families and organizations in communities all across the province of British Columbia.
This event will be broadcast live from the Hard Rock Casino. The full coverage of the one-day telethon will be from 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. both on-air and online via livestream on Globalnews.ca.
