Voting Open TODAY for 2017 “Imagine Me” Mannequin Art Competition’s Professional’s Choice Award
Pekin, IL (PRWEB) February 15, 2017 -- The iaedp Foundation invites eating disorder professionals to vote for their favorite Mannequin Art Entry in this year’s premier art competition -- the Imagine Me Beyond What You See “Professional’s Choice” award.
Voting is open for the Professional’s Choice award now through Monday, March 20, 2017. After that, all of the votes to determine the winner of the coveted Professional's Choice award are tallied and presented along with the Judges’ Honorable Mention, Runner Up and the 2017 First Place “Imagine Me Beyond What You See" Body Image Mannequin Art competition winner. All winners will be announced on Thursday, March 23 at the 31st annual iaedp Symposium in Las Vegas.
Following thoughtful review of the full roster of this year’s Imagine Me art entries, iaedp members and other eating disorder professionals are invited to vote once for their favorite mannequin artwork. Each of the competition's 15 works can be reviewed online and a single vote cast at IMAGINE ME VOTING SURVEY.
This unique art competition encourages eating disorder treatment centers, art therapists, clients, therapy groups and the general public to reflect on the perception of beauty and then design mannequin-based artworks that challenge audiences to look and see beyond the purely physical. The mannequin artwork tells an individual or collective story about how those in treatment reflected upon or rediscovered their feelings about authentic beauty.
