IQBG Hosts Second Annual Industry Day February 23 in Tysons Corner, VA
Tysons Corner (PRWEB) February 22, 2017 -- IQBG, a nationally recognized enterprise information management solutions provider to federal, state and local government and healthcare organizations, will host the second annual Industry Day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. February 23 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Industry Day 2017 will bring together top leaders in the digital enterprise information management industry to discuss how the Internet of Things (IoT) impacts the way the federal government and the public sector effectively manage and store massive amounts of information.
Retired Major General Raymond Fox will be the closing keynote and will speak about how social media and technology have had a disruptive impact on the military – from leadership, good order and discipline to military training and operations. Hugh Ritchie, Senior Director, Industry and Value Marketing at OpenText, will deliver the morning address highlighting the potential benefits and challenges IoT presents in the public sector.
“Traditionally, information is organized and managed at rest. In the Internet of Things, we’re managing information in real time,” said Michael Beck, President and CEO of IQBG. “The IoT has been a topic of discussion for a while, but our specific goal for Industry Day is to bring together thought leaders on federal IT and information management to discuss challenges and benefits of this phenomenon as it relates to the business of the federal government and the public sector.”
Breakout sessions throughout the day will dive into the topics of:
- Information Ownership: IoT data is valuable, but who gets to decide what gets done with it?
- Business Process Management: There are many creative and proven ways to use IoT to increase the power of BPM.
- Leveraging IoT and Cloud for National Security: Cloud computing faces security issues in understanding compliance, multi-tenancy and governance.
- Auto Classification: The next-generation solution for large volumes of information in a proper records management program.
This free event is open to the public and was made possible by OpenText.
