Colleges and universities on the Best Online Schools list must be an institutionally accredited, public or private not-for-profit and have at least one online certificate or degree program to qualify. Each college was also scored based on additional criteria that includes student/teacher ratios, post-graduation employment resources, graduation rate and financial aid availability.
