Author Diana Joya provides a glimpse into the life of pets.

Diana Joya grew up with an ingrained sense of respect and appreciation for all life, including the lives of animals. As she got older, her admiration continued to grow and her love for the environment and living creatures deepened. Today, Joya fuses her gratitude, wonder and curious mindset into her new children’s book, “Through Green Eyes.”

“Through Green Eyes,” follows the adventures of Miss Kitty and her group of furry friends as they explore the neighborhood and hunt for treasure. Complete with colorful illustrations, “Through Green Eyes” teaches life-long lessons on kindness, love and respect for animals and nature.

“Children are oftentimes consumed with their electronics and they forget to appreciate the great outdoors,” Joya said. “With Through Green Eyes, I want to show kids of all ages that there is a whole world to explore beyond their computers. They don’t need a tablet or smartphone to have fun. Instead, all they need is an open mind and a vivid imagination.”

Joya’s book is the first installment of her “Through Green Eyes” series. It encourages readers to see their four-legged companions as fun-loving adventurous beings. For more information about the author or her book, please visit
