A curated, open access directory.

A better way to do information processing on the internet.

Top20medicalschool.com is a curated, open access (free), internet directory for the basic science topics of medical school. The aggregated videos and websites can be used to prepare for a course, as supplemental material for a course, or as preparation for the USMLE Step 1 Exam which students usually take after their first two years. The educational materials are presented in the format of the USMLE Step 1 Exam. The Top 20 Medical School directory is open access (free) and it has a global perspective. There is also a multiple search tool and an App directory. There are no paid inclusions.

Top 20 Medical School is an extension of both Top20education.com and Top20health.com which are parts of Top20.com, a general directory for the internet. There is now a great deal of open access (free) information online for almost any topic in general education. Many of our best universities have put the video lectures of some of their courses online for free. Top20education.com is a curated directory for high school and college topics which aggregates the best of these educational resources. Top20health.com curates and aggregates the best of the health care information online for patients and 36 medical specialties. Top20medicalschool.com is a natural extension of these two curated, open access (free) directories. In the last year, there has been a significant increase in the number of online video lectures in the biological sciences and medicine. There is information overload and the problem now is one of selection and aggregation. Top20medicalschool.com is an attempt to address both of these issues by offering a one-stop location for specific videos, websites, general resources, and study aids.

Global health and education remain as major issues of our times. We are seeing significant advances in medical technology, but an even greater advance can be made by a wider global availability of medical information and healthcare.
